Adam Siska (The Academy Is...) Joins Say Anything
Former The Academy Is... bassist Adam T. Siska has announced he has joined Say Anything.
A statement from Siska, as well as frontman Max Bemis can be found below:
"Having Parted Much More Than Amicably With Alex Last Year (He’s Still A Dear Friend), We Knew It Would Be Very Difficult To Find Someone Who Can Fill His Shoes On Both A Professional And Personal Level, But We Are So Lucky That Adam Happened To Be Available At Exactly The Right Time, And Somehow We Seem To Have Ended Up With Both. This Is A Guy Who Is In A Band For All The Right Reasons: A Love For Playing His Instrument And A Passion For Music. We’re Fortunate That Adam Happens To Deem Our Music Worthy Of Being The Focus Of That Passion And Are So Excited To Have Such An Awesome New Member Of Say Anything.” - Max
“I Couldn’t Be More Excited To Become A Member Of Say Anything. I Have Been A Fan Of The Band Since The Release Of The Debut Album, And Got To Know Them Well While On Tour During The Summer Of 2008. When I Spoke To Max About Joining, There Was No Doubt In My Mind That This Is A Band That I Believe In And Want To Put My Heart Into. I Look Forward To Seeing All Of You At Shows Very Soon!” - Adam"

EMMURE FRONTMAN RESPONDS TO EX-DRUMMER’S STATEMENT…VIA TWITTER
Yesterday, drummer Mike Kaabe’s statement regarding his firing from Emmure spread around the web. It was clear that Kaabe was upset about getting booted from the group, revealing a lot of dirt about his former band mates and manager. We also knew that it wouldn’t take too long for someone in the band to respond in some fashion. Rather than releasing a group statement, though, frontman Frankie Palmeri chose to refute Kaabe’s accusations via his Twitter account.
In a series of tweets made shortly after Kaabe’s statement was released, Palmeri had the following to say about the band’s recent drummer drama:
“Slander on my name. Aint nothing new. For the record me and @jessemmure write ALL of the music including the drums. So Suck my dickHey so should I do a press release on what REALLY went down? Ehhh..nah. That fucking loser has it coming to him.Its always the person who points the finger who has only himself to blame. You are a broke ass , junkie , moron..”
Glad to see Palmeri taking the high road. While we may not know who is Emmure’s new drummer (oh the suspense), this is also most likely the only statement we’ll get from the band concerning Kaabe’s departure. Fine by us.

BRITISH MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER POSING AS BRING ME THE HORIZON’S SINGER
It’s been an odd week for Bring Me The Horizon’s Oliver Sykes. The British singer got in a bit of a scuffle onstage with some rowdy hecklers (though Sykes downplayed the incident in a posting on his blog) the other day in Utah. While a group of audience members attacking you onstage isn’t anything to take lightly, the actions of one fan might be of more concern to Sykes.
According to the UK’s Daily Mail, a 20 year old British McDonalds employee was arrested for the attempted murder of a young American woman. Supposedly the two met via Facebook, where David Russell, the attempted murderer, posed as the Bring Me The Horizon singer. After the victim traveled to Northampton to meet who she thought was Sykes back in April, Russell brought her to Harlestone Firs forest where he blindfolded her, slit her throat, and repeatedly stabbed her. However, the victim was able to escape and receive medical attention.
Additional evidence has shown that Russell searched the internet for subjects such as “how kill someone with bare hands” and “how to cut skin with a knife” the day prior to the victim’s arrival. The Northampton Crown Court has sentenced Russell to serve no less than 17 and a half years in jail (after which he may be considered for parole).
As the headline in Sykes’ brief blog post about this story says: “Holy Shit!”
Blink-182's new album, 'Neighborhoods' has debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 this week by selling an estimated 155,041 copies in its first week.
